In a significant move towards environmental sustainability, the Karnataka government, through its Muzrai Department, has declared a complete prohibition on plastic within all state-run temples effective August 15. This directive aims to foster cleaner, more responsible religious spaces. Concurrently, Bengaluru is gearing up for a two-day alcohol ban on August 15 and 16, coinciding with Independence Day and Krishna Janmashtami, a measure implemented to ensure law and order during the festive period.
